PeeGee has spent a total of 45 minutes outside in the last 48 hours. She successfully used the litterbox twice.

Although she is spending much of the time under the foot of the bed in the spare bedroom, she comes out whenever she sees one of us. She is not closed in, she has free roam of the house, she has just found a warm spot where she feels safe, who's to argue. She'll come out when she is comfortable about it.

I made four profiles (basically the same code with different colors) in the same style as in my first profile post ever.

Hello everyone,
There was a post a while ago about petite brides in a certain type of dress. I was wondering if I could extend that a little - I'd be interested in all kinds of dresses, all kinds of hair. Just to see what kind of general "looks" might work really well.

I'm not even sure how much of a difference it would make, but many of the models in the magazines look like their legs are taller than I am, so it would be lovely to see a collection of inspiring things that might be a little more directly applicable!

1. Going Christmas shopping with my mother
2. Starting to read a book borrowed from April (Holidays are Hell)
3. Staying calm this afternoon
4. Starting to come to terms with the fact that He is probably a narcissist
5. Finding really funny pajama pants for my brother that have the Pillsbury Dough Boy on them and they say "That's just how I roll"
6. Finished the first draft of a short story

Ok wedding planners, I need your ideas.  Even though I have quite awhile until my wedding (10.10.10) I'm trying to get ideas for the Rehearsal Dinner.  What did/are you planning on doing for your rehearsal dinner? I'm open to all ideas from ordering pizza to a fancy dinner.  And if you are a member of a wedding party, what kind of rehearsal dinner would you expect?  Thanks in advance for all your ideas.  I know you won't let me down!

My dad knows nothing about wedding planning at all. He and my mom got married in front of a Christmas tree by a JOP and had no reception. (I'm not judging this option just letting you know this is what he has to go on.) He's trying to tell me I'm getting screwed on the reception I have planned. We haven't signed a contract and I don't think I'm getting screwed but I just wanted someone to back me up please. Reassure me that I'm not as off as he thinks I am please?

I noticed that Aure had some lumps of goo in the corner of his eye. I gently cleaned it off and thought that was the end of it, that it was just sleep. Then a few hours later I came downstairs and his eye wasn't opening well and was red and REALLY weepy [clear fluid].

I freaked out and called the vet, but they are closed until Monday. Then I called the emergency vet [I just moved to a really small town]. They only take clients that are known to them. So I lied and said he was my parent's cat in order for them to get me an appointment for the vet tomorrow. :S

Anyways, the vet said to use some compresses on it and just gently take the weeping away.

My question [I forgot to ask the vet while I talked to him on the phone]. I have some of those eye/ear drops that you buy from the drugstore. I recently had a nasty eye infection myself and was using those, and eye gel lubricant. I have an unopened spare bottle of them, and was wondering if I put a small drop in his eye once or twice tonight if it would be okay.


I called the vet back but the on-call vet was gone for the day as it was after 5 [basically an answering/appointment service for the weekends].

Any thoughts? My aunt who's owned cats her whole life said I could, but I wanted to ask other, more experienced cat owners their opinion.

The eye drops are a no-name brand of polysporin and are used for treating eye and ear infections.

ANY suggestions would greatly help please!!

 Hi everyone! I am finally, belatedly, posting my intro, because I have some questions to ask. You may have seen me lurking and commenting a little bit, but I am hoping to kick my planning into high gear in the next few months ( Introduction )


And I have a few clothing/color related questions. Does anyone have pictures of real brides (with the rest of their bridal party) in a light gold gown? I am wearing Maggie Sottero's Dallas Marie in light gold and am totally stumped about what color my girls and the guys should wear! Any suggestions at all would be wonderful! I want my wedding to feel summery! (I would post a picture but I have no idea, so if someone wants to post one in the comments, that would be wonderful) The dress is here: http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=J1127. I ordered the ribbon in light gold, also, but I think I will either remove it or have one made in a color to match the bridesmaids' dresses (whatever color that winds up being!) 

Speaking of summery, I am getting married in August in Northern Michigan, so the weather could be wonderful, or it could be raining, freezing, or super hot. I would LOVE to get a cute bolero or wrap to go with my dress, so if you have seen any cute ones on etsy or somewhere else, please share them with me. I would like to spend under or around $100 (plus or minus shipping).

Oh, and do you think it's okay to wear a white/ivory veil with a light gold dress? Does anyone have pictures of this?  THANK YOU!!

Hey everyone! I was referred here over at naturalliving. Back in September my sister a little white cat who turned out to be pregnant. She has since delivered her kittens and is ready to be away from them (I hope) The woman who took her in to help birth the kittens gave the babies to a pet store. I picked the mother up this morning. The pet store has informed me that the babies have tested positive for both feline aids and leukemia. I can only assume at this point that she has both as well. I knew before I got her I would be testing her for both. I still plan to do so. She's a little tiny thing, but she has a ravenous appetite. I'm feeding her Halo dry food and natural balance wet. I'm hoping someone with experience in taking care of such a sick cat could give me advice on how to make her life a good one. I'm a vegetarian but would be totally willing to cook her meat and such. I don't know whats going to happen with the kittens. I was kind of thinking of taking one of them. I just don't know how wise that is. I really feel like she misses them. She seems depressed. She doesn't play, she just sleeps and gets up every now and then to eat. Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this.

FYI I did talk to a vet this afternoon but she didn't give any insight on what exactly I can do for her.

Initially FH and I were going to fly to Montreal two days after our wedding and return 4 days later (a Monday-Friday trip) due to restricted amounts of time off we can take. I've been finding packages for around $1,200 for both our round trip nonstop flights and hotel stay. With the addition of food and attractions we are probably looking at closer to $1,500+. I thought with taxes this spring that this could fit into our budget but the more I think about it the more I don't want to spend that much. I looked at google maps to see how far it would be to drive and it's 16 hours and stops in Lansing, MI where a friend of mine lives. We've done 16 hour trips before and if we stop in Lansing for the Sunday night after our wedding we'll only have 9 hours to tackle in the morning and would arrive in Montreal around 3pm just in time to check into a hotel. Driving would cost us about $1,000 after gas, hotel, food, and attractions.

So has anyone had good experiences roadtripping for their honeymoon? It sounds fun and I think could be a good way to bond and have a first big experience as a married couple.

Also, anyone from the Montreal area...do you have hotel recommendations? Attractions? etc? We were thinking about going to Niagra Falls on the way to or from Montreal (it's about an hour and a half off our route home, and extra 3 hours of driving and then time spent there). Is it worth it? What can you do there?
